Abdul Malek Ukil Medical College is the only medical college in the district recognized by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council. [3] Located in Begumganj, it is a public institution. Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) started in this college in first July, 1963. Degree (Pass) started in this college in 1965. After creating National University, the college came under it.
