Looking for a MASSIVE list of names for each playable race. So I am looking for a massive list of names I can pull from when I need to make an NPC. I would like male, female, and sir names if possible. I don't like using the "FaNtSy NaMe GeNeRaToRs" because I either get names like Gougnawer Bbaoihgr or Sir Dolphinslayer Snugglehorns.
The race will probably call themselves whatever their word for 'people' is. I tend to use -ar, -on, -ad and -er for races that are not elegant (like elves), and -an or -ien for elegant races. Then i add a 3/4 letter word, pref not in a dictionary as the base. Examples: Boolar. Tagar.
My friend is writing up a campaign while he is away at summer school and was looking for a race name generator. We tried looking at generators like SeventhSanctum and donjon but none of them had what we wanted. Also something we are looking for is some sort of map creating system like Campaign Cartographer but significantly cheaper or free.
For context, in my generator, I ask Claude Opus AI to create unique names associated with the given Fantasy race. I'm not sure how other generators create theirs. For artists, writers, gamemasters, musicians, programmers, philosophers and scientists alike! The creation of new worlds and new universes has long been a key element of speculative fiction, from the fantasy works of Tolkien and Le Guin, to the science-fiction universes of Delany and Asimov, to the tabletop realm of Gygax and Barker, and beyond.
A cool tip for Fantasy Name Generator: Use the Human names, but click on "Male (Old)" or "Female (Old)". They updated to some really weird names even for humans, but the old ones are all very good. Sure, some may not fit if you are trying to name an Orc or something, but I personally just use those names for literally every NPC in my campaign ...

First, I use traditional races to lay the groundwork. Then, when adding original races, I come up with the design, think of their Visual inspiration and the culture they would have, and determine how closely they would be like existing animals/crestures. Finally, I name the race based on this info.
The names are definitely a work in progress, basically just randomly combines prefixes and surnames from various European languages to create fantasy-esque names The blueprint for the sentences are [name]: a [adj] [adj] [class] [race] who is [frequency] [adj] [pronouns]
