National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) was a professional women's softball league in the United States that operated from 2004 to 2021. It featured six teams, including the USSSA Pride, the five-time champions, and competed for the Cowles Cup.
Each year's All-NPF Team recognizes players for excellence on the field during the season. Since 2006, the All-NPF Team has been selected by the league and announced during the awards banquet after the end of the regular season. In 2019, a player is named at each fielding position, four pitchers, a designated player, and five 'At-Large' selections.
The New York/New Jersey Comets were a women's professional softball team that played for one season. In February 2013, National Pro Fastpitch announced the Comets as an expansion team , replacing the Carolina Diamonds which had folded at the end of the 2012 season. [1]
The 2003 National Pro Fastpitch season was the final year before the Women's Pro Softball League (WPSL) relaunched with league play in 2004. In November 2002, WPSL announced that it was taking a new name, National Pro Fastpitch, and that it would spend 2003 as a year of touring before resuming competitive play. [1]

The New York/New Jersey Juggernaut were a women's professional softball team based in Central Islip, New York. They were founding members of National Pro Fastpitch and were founded in 2004. [1] They were sold in 2005 and renamed the New York Juggernaut. The team folded shortly after the 2005 season concluded.
