St Bede's RC High School is a coeducational Roman Catholic secondary school located in Blackburn in the English county of Lancashire. [ 1 ] It is a voluntary aided school administered by Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Salford . [ 2 ]
The school is currently owned and operated by Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust, and has been fully integrated since mid-2020. The school opened its new sixth-form centre in November 2007 following a £5 million refurbishment, which included construction work on the new building and rebuilding science laboratories.
The school was rebuilt in 2010 and in 2017 the school was graded as 'Good' by Ofsted inspectors. Previously a voluntary aided school administered by Durham County Council, in January 2021 St Bede's Catholic School converted to academy status. The school is now sponsored by the Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust. [2]
St Bede's Inter-Church School (formerly St Bede's Inter-Church Comprehensive School) is the only Christian state secondary school in Cambridgeshire. It is an academy school with support from both the Roman Catholic Diocese of East Anglia and Anglican Diocese of Ely. The school currently has around 750 pupils and around 50 staff.

Previously a voluntary aided school administered by North Lincolnshire Council, St Bede's Catholic School was converted to academy status on 1 April 2012 and was renamed St Bede's Catholic Voluntary Academy. The school forms part of the Northern Lincolnshire Catholic Academy Trust [7] which is supported by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Nottingham.
The school has a coeducational sixth form, St Benedict's Sixth Form. All sixth form students are currently based at the old St Bede's site. The old St Joseph's site has been renamed Ignis (Latin: spark) and the old St Bede's site has been renamed Ardor (Latin: flame). At the start of September 2018, a house system was introduced, with 5 houses.
