Boomerang is a 24-hour, British pay television channel which primarily features classic and modern animated series from Hanna-Barbera and Warner Bros. Animation. The channel, launched on 27 May 2000, as a spin-off, of Cartoon Network and localisation of the original American network. It is run, by Warner Bros. Discovery under its EMEA division.
Boomerang was created as a new home for these and similar programming, originating as a programming block on Cartoon Network that launched on December 8, 1992 until October 3, 2004. With Cartoon Network downplaying its archival programming in favor of newer original series, Turner launched the Boomerang cable channel on April 1, 2000. [2]
The series premiered on Boomerang's streaming service on February 1, 2019, the television channel on March 30, 2019, [4] [2] and on Cartoon Network on April 16, 2019. On May 20, 2022, it was announced six new specials were ordered and will air on Cartoonito and Max , where it had been airing since 2021.
