Norton Canes services is a motorway service area on the M6 Toll, in the village of Norton Canes near the towns of Brownhills, Cannock, and Walsall, in Staffordshire, England. It is operated by Roadchef, which has a 25-year lease on the site. [2] The company also uses the site as its head office. [3]
Opened on 9 March 2004, Norton Canes services is located between junctions T6 and T7, and is positioned so that it can be accessed before reaching the main toll plaza in either direction. In 2019, the Motorway Services User Survey found that Norton Canes had the highest customer satisfaction of any motorway services in the UK.
Only 20 motorway services in the UK remain in the ownership of the Department for Transport and let on 50-year leases to private operating companies. [1] The vast majority of motorway services in the UK are owned by one of three companies: Moto, Welcome Break and Roadchef and a developing chain of stations being constructed by Extra.
The Orbital Retail Park is located on the outskirts of Norton Canes and houses many stores including furniture and food stores. Adjacent to the retail park are two hotels (Premier Inn and Holiday Inn, with the latter being in the 'Orbital Plaza' - an intreguing building similar to the Gherkin in London which can be seen for miles and, for many, is a sign they have arrived at The Orbital).
Stafford services is a pair of motorway service stations on the M6 motorway near Stone, Staffordshire, England.. It is unusual, in that the facilities on the northbound (opened 1996) and southbound (1999) sides of the motorway are operated by separate companies: Moto (formerly Granada) and Roadchef respectively.

Roadchef was founded in July 1973 as a joint venture between Lindley Catering Investments and Galleon World Travel, with the first Roadchef opening at Killington Lake Services on the M6. [ 4 ] By 1998, Roadchef had built a portfolio of 21 sites.
