Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World (Japanese: Re:ゼロから始める異世界生活, Hepburn: Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu), often referred to simply as Re:Zero and also known as Re: Life in a different world from zero, [d] is a Japanese light novel series written by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrated by Shin'ichirō Ōtsuka.
Rem (Japanese: レム, Hepburn: Remu) is a fictional character from the fantasy light novel and anime series Re:Zero, created by Tappei Nagatsuki.She is voiced by Inori Minase in Japanese [1] [2] and by Brianna Knickerbocker in the English dub.
A series of shorts featuring chibi style versions of the characters, titled Re:Zero − Starting Break Time From Zero (Re:ゼロから始める休憩時間(ブレイクタイム), Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Break Time) and produced by Studio Puyukai, aired on AT-X after each episode of the series, starting on April 8, 2016.
The character won the Best Character (Male) award in the 2015–2016 Newtype Anime Awards. [16] In a poll by Crunchyroll, Subaru, with 2,246 votes, was voted as the second best Re:Zero character after Rem. [17] In the Crunchyroll 2020 awards, Yūsuke Kobayashi won the category of best male seiyuu for his role as Subaru. [18]
