State Route 91 (SR 91) is a primary state highway in the U.S. state of Virginia.The state highway runs 55.12 miles (88.71 km) from the Tennessee state line near Damascus, where the highway continues as Tennessee State Route 91 (SR 91), north to U.S. Route 19 Business (US 19 Business) and US 460 Business at Frog Level.
Damascus is a small town in Washington County, Virginia.The population was 814 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Kingsport–Bristol (TN)–Bristol (VA) Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is a component of the Johnson City–Kingsport–Bristol, TN-VA Combined Statistical Area (commonly known as the "Tri-Cities" region).

Taylors Valley is located in southwestern Virginia at an altitude of 722 metres (2369 feet), close to the border with Tennessee. It is located along a notable bike trail, the Virginia Creeper Trail, which makes a gradual climb into Taylors Valley. [1]
Several roads provide access to the area. VA 600 (Whitetop Road) connects US 58 with VA 603 (Little Laurel Road) while passing through Elk Garden, the point where the Appalachian Trail crosses the road. Forest Road 89 begins on VA 600 and reaches the summit of Whitetop Mountain. Forest Roads 89A, 89B, and 89C are short spur roads off FR 89 . [2]
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers maintains State Route 4 over the John H. Kerr Dam and State Route 143 in Fort Monroe, and the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority operates and maintains State Route 267 (the Dulles Toll Road) [9] and owns the Dulles Access Road (SR 90004). [10]
