West Hampstead is a station on the Mildmay line of the London Overground, located on West End Lane in the London Borough of Camden. Located in Travelcard Zone 2, it is situated between Brondesbury and Finchley Road & Frognal stations. Two out-of-station interchanges exist with West Hampstead Overground station.
West Hampstead railway station is on the North London Line, with train services provided by London Overground. It was known as West End Lane until 1975. It is on the western side of West End Lane between the tube station and Iverson Road. As of 2018, annual usage was 4.5 million. West Hampstead tube station is on London Underground Jubilee line.
Plans were put forward in 1974 and again in 2004 for a West Hampstead interchange, to connect the three West Hampstead stations in one complex. The plans were put on hold in 2007 due to uncertainty over the North London Line rail franchise. [36] The proposal is now no longer possible, due to development in the area.

West Hampstead is an area in the London Borough of Camden in north-west London. Mainly defined by the railway stations of the same name, it is situated between Childs Hill to the north, Frognal and Hampstead to the north-east, Swiss Cottage to the east, South Hampstead to the south-east and Kilburn to the west and south-west.
It opened on 1 March 1871, and was originally named West End for Kilburn and Hampstead. [ 3 ] For a short period from 1878 the station formed part of the Super Outer Circle , Midland trains running through from St Pancras to Earl's Court via Acton Central and Turnham Green .
Prior to the name being adopted in November 2024, [1] the service was labelled in Transport for London timetables as the Richmond and Clapham Junction to Stratford route. [ 2 ] The name was chosen to honour the Mildmay Mission Hospital , which treated victims of the HIV/AIDS crisis in the 1980s, and the line is blue on the Tube map .
