Missouri State Fair Speedway is a half-mile (.805 km) dirt oval race track located at the Missouri State Fair grounds in Sedalia, Missouri. The track was built along with the fairgrounds in 1901 as a one-mile (1.6-km) horse racing track. The first auto races were held in 1914 and 1915.

The runaway success of what became known as Fall Carlisle Collector Car Swap Meet & Car Corral led to a similar Spring event in 1977. In short order, they became complete sellouts for vendor and car sale (or "car corral") spaces. In 1981, after renting the fairgrounds for each event, the Millers purchased the 82-acre (330,000 m 2) property.
