The company was in the business of gun manufacture until 1916, when it merged with Ithaca Gun Company in Ithaca, New York , which continued Lefever production until 1921.
In 1877, L.C. and his older brother Leroy joined forces with an established firearms designer, William H. Baker, to form W.H. Baker & Co., and for the next three years, the firm produced Baker designed shotguns. However, in 1880, Leroy Smith and W.H. Baker left the company, and founded Ithaca Gun Company.
The Auto & Burglar Gun was manufactured in two variations. Approximately 2,500 of the original variants were manufactured from 1921 to 1925 using Ithaca's standard 20 gauge Flues model shotgun, and designed to fire 2½" shells. Sometimes referred to as "Model A", its barrels were about 10" in length.
The Tikka M65 (originally Tikka LSA65) is a Finnish rifle designed by a Finnish firearms company Tikkakoski in 1969.
