The Amigos School or La Escuela Amigos School, is a dual-language immersion bilingual Kindergarten to eighth (k-8) school in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States. The Spanish-immersion program began in 1986 at the Maynard School and became an autonomous school within the Cambridge Public School District in 2001.
South Academy of International Languages, formerly known as E. E. Waddell Language Academy and Smith Academy of International Languages, is a public K-8 magnet school (elementary and middle language immersion school combined) in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. It is part of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School (CMS) District.
In 1931 Eliot Arts Magnet Middle School opened in Altadena. In 1925 Wilson Junior High School opened. Beginning with the class of 1986, the school included 6th-8th grade, becoming a middle school. In 2020 Wilson closed for declining enrollment. In 2022 the school board voted to move Rose City High School to the former campus.
Language immersion classes can now be found throughout the US, in urban and suburban areas, in dual-immersion and single-language immersion, and in an array of languages. As of May 2005, there were 317 dual immersion programs in US elementary schools, providing instruction in 10 languages, and 96% of those programs were in Spanish.

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow Middle School [66] (Region 2, [1] grades 7–8 [67]), north of Falls Church, is a public school named after the poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. The school's mascot is the Lancer. It is a two-story building with two gymnasiums, a cafeteria, and a lecture hall.
