Spadina is a subway station on Line 1 Yonge–University and Line 2 Bloor–Danforth in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located on Spadina Road , north of Bloor Street West . It is one of only three stations open overnight, along with Queens Quay station and Union station .
The street was immediately proposed as an east-west route along the boundary, although the section was not built until 1859. The first section built was to the west of Spadina Avenue, through the estate of Robert Baldwin, who laid out the route. This section was built with the 100 feet (30 m) that was also used for Spadina.
It covers most of the western portion of Downtown Toronto, and is essentially the successor of Trinity—Spadina, covering the area of that riding south of Dundas Street.
