I Dream of Jeannie is an American fantasy sitcom television series created by Sidney Sheldon and starring Barbara Eden as a beautiful but guileless 2,000-year-old genie and Larry Hagman as an astronaut with whom she falls in love and eventually marries.
Two of Jeannie's English uncles—Azmire (Ronald Long) and Vasmir (Arthur Malet)—come visiting in order to vet Tony as their niece's prospective groom prior to the wedding. Jeannie is at her wit's end trying to appease them but they're seeking opposite qualities: one wants Tony bawdy, the other, gentlemanly.
