Built in 1973, the mall has undergone two major expansions and several renovations. Its major tenants include the 32,000 square feet (3,000 m 2) Galaxy Cinemas movie theatre complex. The mall was named for its proximity to Sault Ste. Marie railway station which was located in the northern section of the mall's parking lot until 2020.
