The Cross Bay Walk is a historical hiking route in Northwest England that crosses Morecambe Bay. It traditionally connected Hest Bank, Lancashire with Kents Bank, Cumbria . The exact route of the walk varies depending upon local conditions, but is usually between 6 and 8 mi (9.7 and 12.9 km) in length.

Grange-over-Sands [3] is a town and civil parish on the north side of Morecambe Bay in Cumbria, England, a few miles south of the Lake District National Park.In the 2011 census the parish had a population of 4,114, [4] increasing at the 2021 census to 4,279. [1]
The Morecambe South field is in UK Block 110/2a and extends into Blocks 110/3a, 110/8a, 110/7a; Morecambe North is in Block 110/2a. The fields were discovered in September 1974 and February 1976 respectively. [1] [2] The fields are named after a light-ship station, they are sometimes erroneously called Morecambe Bay. [2]
