Al Boraq (Arabic: البُراق, romanized: al-burāq) [3] is a 323-kilometre (201 mi) high-speed rail service between Casablanca and Tangier in Morocco. The first of its kind on the African continent, it opened on 15 November 2018 after a decade of planning and construction by ONCF , Morocco's national railway company.

The station was built by the Compagnie des chemins de fer du Maroc (CFM) in 1923, under the French protectorate of Morocco. It had 8 platforms. Renovation work in progress, June 2013. The terminal went through a renovation from 2008 to September 2014. [1] The project included modernizing the rail infrastructure and platforms, as well as building a new passenger area, shops, and a 500-place underground car park, in addition to 27,000 square metres (290,000 sq ft) of office space. [2]
The newly renovated station was officially opened on 4 January 2005 after major modernisation work by the ONCF, with a total MAD 13 m investment. [1] The renovations were made to relieve congestion at Casa-Port and Casa-Voyageurs stations.
