    Yes, the difference card folks will know what was spent and on what, but they are only allowed to report aggregated (rolled up) data FOR THE WHOLE ENROLLED POPULATION, e.g. 42 prescriptions, 3 emergency room visits, 15 office visits. Fear, assumption, and behaviors not based on the truth is as much to blame for a poor healthcare system.

    I did some Googling and found stuff about "top tier" gas vs. cheap-o gas. Apparently the only difference between them is the additives that are mixed in. The additives in name-brand gas supposedly keep engines clean and healthy. There are a handful of car manufacturers that recommend top tier gas (BMW, Audi, VW, Honda, Toyota, and GM).

    It might also be a bank thing, or the difference if you do direct deposit or have an EBT card. My benefits were direct deposited to the same bank for the entire time, and I never had any contact with anyone to find out if some banks delivered the money faster, or anyone with an EBT to confirm any variations.

    You're jumping to conclusions. The OP did not say, and you don't know if comps where pulled or not. It's likely the agent reviewed the tax data to prepare for the meeting, and may have pulled similar comps to arrive at an initial pricing proposal.
