The Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPAC) is the central agency of the Tasmanian Government. The department provides a broad range of services to Cabinet, other members of Parliament, Government agencies and the community. DPAC is headed by the Premier, the Minister for Sport and Recreation, and the Minister for Aboriginal Affairs.

Amelia Lucy Wayn MBE (1862 – 11 August, 1951) was an Australian historical researcher and the primary employee under The Tasmanian Public Records Act 1943 which established the first official archives in Tasmania and was the foundation of the Archives Office of Tasmania. She was awarded Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 1941.
From 1964 to 1971, she joined the State Executive of the Tasmanian Division of the Miss Australia Quest. In 1964, she became State Executive and Public Relations Officer of the Tasmanian Good Neighbour Council, a post she held until 1970. From 1964 until 1968, Parker was also the vice-president of the United Nations Association in Launceston.

Tennent was appointed to the Supreme Court of Tasmania on 15 March 2005 by Governor William Cox, making her the first woman to sit on the court in its 180-year history. [2] Tennent retired with effect on 3 November 2017. [5] [6] In March 2019 Tennent was inducted into the Tasmanian Honour Roll of Women for "service to justice and human rights". [7]
