The order for Canon DSLRs, in real life, would be 1Ds, 1D, then the 5D, then the 6D and 7D depending on if you value a larger sensor or a more professional system, and then the x00D and x000D lines. (The 1Dx is a bit weird for a table, since it technically replaces the 1D line, not the 1Ds line, but it has a full frame sensor like the 1Ds cameras.)
6D, 6D II: Canon's cheapest Full Frame DSLR with lower-end features and build quality, but the same image quality as the higher-end models from the same time; 5D, II, III, IV: High-end Full Frame DSLRs, and the highest-end without a built-in portrait grip. High quality features and image quality, versatile, suitable for most photographic situations
