A pilot for the series, entitled "My Neighbor Was a Teenage Robot", originally aired as a segment of an episode of Oh Yeah! Cartoons on December 4, 1999. The series was produced from 2002 to 2006, and it originally aired in the United States on Nickelodeon from August 1, 2003, to September 9, 2005.
Robert John Renzetti is an American animator and author. Renzetti is known for creating My Life as a Teenage Robot and the Oh Yeah! Cartoons series Mina and the Count for Nickelodeon, directing Dexter's Laboratory, The Powerpuff Girls, and Samurai Jack for Cartoon Network and serving as the animation director of Sym-Bionic Titan.
His other works include The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Dexter's Laboratory, Cats Don't Dance, [2] The Iron Giant, My Life as a Teenage Robot, The Fairly OddParents, G.I. Joe: Renegades, among others. He was the supervising producer on We Bare Bears.
