In 1939, when there were 100 students, the school moved to a former hospital building on an eight-acre site on East Broward Boulevard in 1939, and student boarding began. A nearby site was purchased for an elementary school. The school was incorporated in 1959, and it moved to the current 49-acre site on NE 62nd Street in 1965.
