Shaikhupur Tehsil (Urdu: تحصِيل شَيخُوپُور), is an administrative subdivision of Shaikhupur District in the Punjab province of Pakistan. [1] The city of Shaikhupur is the headquarters of the tehsil.
Sheikhupura is the headquarters of Sheikhupura district. According to the 1998 census of Pakistan, the district had a population of 3,321,029 of which 25.45% were urban. [ 3 ] In 2005 one of its subdivisions was split off to form the new Nankana Sahib District .

One tehsil in Gurdaspur District, Shakargarh Tehsil, was given to Pakistan and placed in Sialkot District, and the other three tehsils were all given to India despite forming a contiguous boundary. Lahore District had three tehsils, Chunian, Lahore and Qasur, all of which were Muslim majority (60.85%, 62.12%, and 57.19% Muslim respectively).
Sheikhupura (Punjabi / Urdu: شیخوپورہ; pronounced [ʃeːxuˈpuːɾäː]) also known as Qila Sheikhupura, is a city and district in the Pakistani province of Punjab. Founded by the Mughal Emperor Jahangir in 1607, Sheikhupura is the 15th largest city of Pakistan by population [ 2 ] [ 3 ] and is the headquarters of Sheikhupura District .
During the delimitation of 2018, NA-120 (Sheikhupura-II) acquired areas from three former constituencies namely NA-132 (Sheikhupura-II-cum-Nankana Sahib), NA-133 (Sheikhupura-III), and NA-136 Nankana Sahib-II-cum-Sheikhupura, the areas of Sheikhupura District which are part of this constituency are listed below alongside the former constituency name from which they were acquired:
Muridke Tehsil was previously divided in all these three constituencies which is now entirely part of NA-119 (Sheikhupura-I). Apart from that, areas of Ferozewala Tehsil which were previously part of NA-131 (Sheikhupura-I) have been made part of this constituency. Those areas include Chak No. 46 Union Council among others.
