Indium(III) chloride is the chemical compound with the formula In Cl 3 which forms a tetrahydrate. This salt is a white, flaky solid with applications in organic synthesis as a Lewis acid . It is also the most available soluble derivative of indium. [ 2 ]
There are three sets of Indium halides, the trihalides, the monohalides, and several intermediate halides. In the monohalides the oxidation state of indium is +1 and their proper names are indium(I) fluoride, indium(I) chloride, indium(I) bromide and indium(I) iodide. The intermediate halides contain indium with oxidation states, +1, +2 and +3.
Photodynamic therapy is also used to relieve symptoms of some cancers, including esophageal cancer when it blocks the throat and non-small cell lung cancer when it blocks the airways. [ 26 ] When cells that have absorbed photosensitizers are exposed to a specific wavelength of light, the photosensitizer produces a form of oxygen, called an ...
Chlorine releasing solutions, such as liquid bleach and solutions of bleaching powder, can burn the skin and cause eye damage, [2] especially when used in concentrated forms. As recognized by the NFPA, however, only solutions containing more than 40% sodium hypochlorite by weight are considered hazardous oxidizers.

Compared to trimethylaluminium and trimethylgallium, InMe 3 is a weaker Lewis acid.It forms adducts with secondary amines and phosphines. [5] A complex with the heterocyclic triazine ligand (Pr i NCH 2) 3 forms a complex with 6-coordinate In, where the C-In-C angles are 114°-117° with three long bonds to the tridentate ligand with N-In-N angles of 48.6° and long In-N bonds of 278 pm. The sol–gel method is another way to prepare nanowires. [citation needed] Indium oxide can serve as a semiconductor material, forming heterojunctions with p-InP, n-GaAs, n-Si, and other materials. A layer of indium oxide on a silicon substrate can be deposited from an indium trichloride solution, a method useful for manufacture of solar cells ...
3 can be used at 747 °C: [8] 2 Ga(OH) 3 + 3 H 2 S → Ga 2 S 3 + 6 H 2 O. Reacting a mixture of alkali metal carbonates and Ga 2 O 3 with H 2 S leads to the formation of thiogallates containing the [Ga 2 S 4] 2− anion. Strong acids decompose these salts, releasing H 2 S in the process. [7]: 104–105 The mercury salt, HgGa 2 S 4, can be used ...
