A leap year (also known as an intercalary year or bissextile year) is a calendar year that contains an additional day (or, in the case of a lunisolar calendar, a month) compared to a common year. The 366th day (or 13th month) is added to keep the calendar year synchronised with the astronomical year or seasonal year . [ 1 ]
Modern astronomers define the tropical year as time for the Sun's mean longitude to increase by 360°. The process for finding an expression for the length of the tropical year is to first find an expression for the Sun's mean longitude (with respect to ♈︎), such as Newcomb's expression given above, or Laskar's expression. [32]

Typhoon Hester of October 1971 was regarded as one of the most destructive storms to strike Vietnam since 1944. Across the Philippines, Hester was responsible for six deaths and ₱5 million in damage.
The two calendars agreed again after a leap month lasting from 21 March to 19 April of that year was inserted into the Vietnamese calendar. In the Vietnamese zodiac, the cat replaces the Rabbit in the Chinese zodiac. So, a child born in the Chinese year of the Rabbit will be born in the Vietnamese year of the Cat (mẹo/mão).
The most recent year of such kind was 2008, and the next one will be 2036 in the Gregorian calendar [1] or, likewise 2020 and 2048 in the obsolete Julian calendar. Any leap year that starts on Tuesday has only one Friday the 13th; the only one in this leap year occurs in June. Common years starting on Wednesday share this characteristic.
