Conroe Independent School District (CISD) is a school district in Montgomery County, Texas. The current superintendent has been Dr. Curtis Null since June 2018. [ 3 ] As of April 2024, Conroe ISD was the 9th largest school district in Texas and 60th largest in the United States.

In 1902, the first four students received their high school diplomas. In 1911, Conroe's first brick school, the JOH Bennette School, was built.

Designed by architect Anthony Waldeier in a combined Tudor Revival/Colonial Revival style, the Bellerose Village Municipal Complex consists of Bellerose Village Hall, the Bellerose Women's Club Building, the Bellerose Fire Hall, and the Bellerose Police Booth. On August 1, 2024, it was listed on the New York State Register of Historic Places. [2]
