2wheel_lee said: ↑. Always put this type of sensor on the front of the fork leg! With the sensor on the rear of the fork, if it gets slightly knocked inward, it could get hit by a the magnet or spokes, potentially destroying spokes and causing a crash. WINNER! I think that's the best explanation.
How many of you use the speed/cadence sensor? And has anyone had problems pairing their heart rate monitor? My Wife got hers working, but mine keeps telling me that it detects multiple heart rate monitors. When I move far away (60 feet or so) from hers it won't pair up.
I picked one up. Anything I should know from people who already own one?
I know there was a thread on this back in December, but is anyone actually using it? Anyone have any other suggestions on good GPS units.
A 9-speed crankset will work fine with an 8-speed system. No need to swap chainrings. You can use either an 8- or 9-speed chain, but I would stick with an 8-speed because that's what the cassette prefers.
If you have a steel or Ti chainring as well, it will last forever and the 32t will probably weigh less due to less teeth and less chain. If you like bling, a 34t will have more surface area to show off and more chain to wrap around. Your pick. strobe, Apr 17, 2012.
Single speed creaking noise. Discussion in 'The Workshop' started by zioncoming79, Feb 12, 2011.
I've had my full-suspension, single-speed specific MilkMoney frame since August, so I figure I've put her through enough of her paces to give a semi-intelligent review of the bike. First off, I LOVE this freakin bike. That being said, it's a bike of compromises.
You'll find out after a few rides. More extreme downhill and rock gardens you'll benefit from a slack ht angle. In my opinion, the main trade-off will be high-speed cornering. With less weight over the front, wash outs are expected to be more likely. That's the idea anyway; but like I say, ymmv.
