Presque Isle (/ p r ɛ s k / PRESK) is the commercial center and largest city in Aroostook County, Maine, United States.The population was 8,797 at the 2020 Census. [2] The city is home to the University of Maine at Presque Isle, Northern Maine Community College, Northern Maine Fairgrounds, the Aroostook Centre Mall, and the Presque Isle International Airport.
State Route 10 (abbreviated SR 10) is a part of Maine's system of numbered state highways, located in the extreme northern part of the state near the Canada–US border. It is a secondary highway which runs for 9.3 miles (15.0 km) between U.S. Route 1 (US 1) in Presque Isle and US 1A in Easton .

State Route 227 (SR 227) is a 24.38-mile-long (39.24 km) state highway located in Aroostook County in northeastern Maine. Its western terminus is at SR 11 in Ashland and its eastern terminus is at SR 163 in Presque Isle after sharing a one-mile-long (1.6 km) concurrency. SR 227 roughly parallels SR 163 over its entire length.
Portage Lake is located along Maine State Route 11, which runs north–south and is the only state road in town. The town is located south of Fort Kent and west of both Caribou and Presque Isle , which are the closest commercial centers.
