Jujutsu Kaisen (呪術廻戦, rgh. "Sorcery Battle") [b] is a Japanese anime television series produced by MAPPA, based on the manga series of the same name by Gege Akutami.The story follows high school student Yuji Itadori as he joins a secret organization of Jujutsu Sorcerers to eliminate a powerful Curse named Ryomen Sukuna, of whom Yuji becomes the host.
Yuji and Nobara are infected by the cursed womb brothers' Decay technique that will rot their bodies away in minutes. Nobara uses her own technique to turn the tables on the brothers and kills them both with Yuji. After the battle, they reflect on having killed actual humans instead of cursed spirits. They find Megumi asleep with Sukuna's finger.
Todo takes the Black Flash meant for them, after which Yuji traps Sukuna in his Domain Expansion. Yuji's actions finally get through to Megumi and he begins resisting Sukuna from the inside. Following a Resonance on Sukuna's final finger from the recently-awakened Nobara, Yuji is able to hit Sukuna with a final Black Flash.
Yuji moves into the school and is mentored in Jujutsu personally by Satoru. He quickly strikes up a friendship with his fellow first-years, Megumi and Nobara Kugisaki. He dies during an altercation with a "Cursed Womb" at a detention facility, wherein Sukuna blackmailed Yuji by holding his heart hostage, but is later brought back to life by Sukuna.
