Buras is a census-designated place (CDP) in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana, United States. Its population was 945 at the 2010 census , [ 3 ] and 1,109 in 2020. [ 4 ] Prior to the 2010 census, Buras was considered to be part of the Buras-Triumph CDP.

Buras-Triumph is a former census-designated place in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 3,358 at the 2000 census. For the 2010 census, Buras-Triumph was split into the CDPs of Buras and Triumph. [1] On the peninsula, Buras has been located higher, with Triumph located southeast of Buras. [citation needed]
