The Directorate of Intelligence and Security (DIS) is the internal intelligence agency of Botswana founded under the Intelligence and Security Service Act which commenced in 2008. [1] The DIS was formed to oversee matters of the counterintelligence and internal security of Botswana . [ 2 ]

Peter Simako Otlaadisang Mmusi (born 16 May 1929, [1] died October 1994) [2] was the Vice-President of Botswana from 3 January 1983 until 1992. He also served as the Minister of Finance from 1980 to 1989, [3] and as the Minister of Local Government and Lands. [1] He was born in Mmankgodi in the Kweneng District.
