He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Yankees, Miami Marlins, Seattle Mariners, Toronto Blue Jays, Chicago Cubs, Milwaukee Brewers, and Philadelphia Phillies. Phelps played college baseball at the University of Notre Dame.
