The Mooloolah River National Park is a nationally protected area located on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.It covers an area of 830.9 hectares and is bordered by the Mooloolah River to the east, Claymore and Dixon Roads to the west, and the Lower Mooloolah River Environmental Reserve to the south.
The eastern boundary of the suburb is the Coral Sea, featuring a long strip of sand called Yaroomba Beach (3] [4]. The land rises from sea level in the east to approximately 40 metres (130 ft) in the west.
The Mooloolaba Triathlon is the centerpiece of a three-day multi-sport festival. The festival includes events for both elite and beginning athletes, including the Age Group Triathlon, Asics Twilight 5-kilometer (3.1-mile) Run, the Peregian Springs Mooloolaba Ocean Swim, and for children, the Courier-Mail Mooloolaba Superkidz Triathlon.
The suburb faces the Coral Sea from its north-east to its south, with a sandy beach to the south and south-east and a rocky headland to the north and north-east. The suburb locality is quite hilly ranging from the beach at sea level to the north-west of the locality at over 40 metres (130 ft) and the headland is at 20 metres (66 ft).
