In January 2012 the band started a new European tour which concluded in Paris on 18 February. [12] On 10 March 2014 Lamb's debut album Lamb was re-released on 180 gram green/black vinyl (for the first 1000 copies) with three bonus remixes. [13] Later in 2014, the album What Sound is to be re-issued on vinyl with remixes.
Lamb was formed by the duo of Texan singer Barbara Mauritz and (multi-instrumentalist though primarily guitarist) Bob Swanson, who with Mauritz (writing both separately and together) were responsible for the band's material. Their music blended jazz, folk music, singer-songwriter pop, gospel, and even some classical and avant-garde influences.
Lamb of God is an American heavy metal band from Richmond, Virginia. Formed in 1994 as Burn the Priest, the group consists of bassist John Campbell, vocalist Randy Blythe, guitarists Mark Morton and Willie Adler, and drummer Art Cruz. The band is considered a significant member of the new wave of American heavy metal movement.
Blythe joined Lamb of God in 1995, when they were still known as Burn the Priest. [3] Before the band was successful, Blythe had previously worked as a cook and a roofer. [4] He also has a side project band known as Halo of Locusts, who were founded around 2004. A full-length release was planned, but has yet to be released.

Johnson and Lamb remained in the band until 2000, when Jackie Chambers and the returning Enid Williams took their places in a line-up that lasted until Williams left again in early 2019. Lamb had been intended to replace Williams on a temporary basis, but became a full-time member later that year. Lamb parted ways with the band in June 2024. [2]

In December 2018, Morton announced his solo debut album, Anesthetic to be released on March 1, 2019, through Spinefarm Records.A single from the album titled "The Truth Is Dead" was released following the announcement and features Morton's Lamb of God bandmate Randy Blythe as well as Arch Enemy frontwoman Alissa White-Gluz on vocals. Barlow first found fame as a member of the band Smoll Fat Child with lead guitarist Matt Goldberg. Later in life, during a hiatus from Lamb, Barlow released solo work as Hip Optimist and LOWB.
