The Single Window Admissions System is used in Anna University for TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission). [1] [2] It is popularly known as Anna University Counselling.It is part of the process through which students completing 12th standard apply and gain admission to engineering colleges within Tamil Nadu, India.
Once in the counselling room, there are around 40 terminals at which students can make their choice. Each terminal has a person who assists the student in the counselling. When a student is allotted a terminal, the student is supposed to enter their top three choices. Before doing this, the student can check up on seat status of various colleges.

It was founded in 1987 as Sathyabama Engineering College by the late Dr. Jeppiaar, and received its university status in 2001. [ 6 ] [ 7 ] It was formerly known as Sathyabama University, until it was renamed as Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology (SIST).
The college was granted deemed university status in 2003 with the approval of the University Grants Commission (UGC), the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and the Government of India and renamed the National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli. [1]
