Mahindra University is an Indian private university located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, founded by Mahindra Group. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ 3 ] Mahindra University is sponsored by Mahindra Educational Institutions (MEI), a subsidiary of Tech Mahindra , an IT MNC under the Mahindra Group .
The college is a two-year programme with about 240 full-time boarders from around 70 countries, and follows the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program (DP). It is one of the 18 United World Colleges. The school was established in 1997 with the support of Harish Mahindra and Anand Mahindra of the Mahindra Group.

The present-day City College started as City School, founded on 6 January 1879, by the Sadharan Brahmo Samaj. It was raised at a college in 1881.
