New York State Route 454 (NY 454), also known as the Suffolk County Veterans Memorial Highway or simply Vets Highway, is a 13.67-mile (22.00 km) east–west state highway in western and central Suffolk County on Long Island in New York. It spans from NY 25 (Jericho Turnpike) in Commack to NY 27 (Sunrise Highway) in Holbrook.
The route runs south-to-north from NY 27A in East Islip to NY 111 in Hauppauge, just south of exit 56 on I-495 (the Long Island Expressway). Originally, CR 17 was an alignment of NY 111 (designated as State Highway 1208 internally).
At NY 27 (Sunrise Highway), CR 51 becomes a four-lane expressway and is one of the roads served by the incomplete exit 61. The other one is CR 55, which served as part of NY 27 until Sunrise Highway was extended east of the interchange. CR 51 became the northern terminus of CR 55 in the 1980s.

The Oakdale Merge begins at exit 46A on Sunrise Highway (NY 27); Montauk Highway (NY 27A) becomes CR 85 at this location. Montauk Highway then veers east to parallel Sunrise Highway to just before exit 47 on the latter highway—at which point CR 85 veers back towards the south, with incomplete access to and from the South Service Road of NY 27.
West of Carman Mill Road, NY 27 followed Merrick Road through southern Nassau County to the New York City line, where it ended. [5] [6] Carman Mill Road was originally designated as NY 276 from c. 1941 until the late 1940s. NY 27 was realigned between New York City and Great River c. 1931 to follow Sunrise Highway.
