The Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS) is a voluntary association of national collegiate and post-graduate honor societies. It was established on December 30, 1925 by six organizations, including Alpha Omega Alpha , the Order of the Coif , Phi Beta Kappa , Phi Kappa Phi , Sigma Xi , and Tau Beta Pi .

Chi Alpha Sigma (ΧΑΣ), also known as the National College Athlete Honor Society, is an honor society for collegiate student-athletes. [1] Established in 1996, it was the first national society to honor four-year college scholar-athletes who excel in both the classroom and athletics.
Its first chapter was chartered at St. Joseph Junior College in Missouri, in 1926. Sigma Tau Delta joined the Association of College Honor Societies in 1972. [4] By 2011, it had grown to 812 active chapters and 9,000 active members.
