Kim Hyun-joong (Korean: 김현중; Hanja: 金賢重; born June 6, 1986) is a South Korean actor, singer and songwriter. [1] He is a member of the boy band SS501 and played roles in the Korean dramas Boys Over Flowers and Playful Kiss.
Boys Over Flowers (Korean: 꽃보다 남자; Hanja: 꽃보다 男子; RR: Kkotboda Namja; MR: Kkotpoda Namja) is a 2009 South Korean television series starring Koo Hye-sun, Lee Min-ho, Kim Hyun-joong, Kim Bum, and Kim Joon.
It is the only SS501 album not to feature members Park Jung-min and Kim Hyun-joong. With Kim Hyun-joong busy filming with Boys Over Flowers, [3] and Park Jung Min with his musical debut in Grease as "Danny Park", [4] the remaining three members formed 'SS501 Project Group' with Heo Young-saeng as the leader.
In 2009, he contributed two soundtracks from Boys Over Flowers including the acoustic version of "Because I'm Stupid"" [4] and "A Thing Called Happiness". [5] He, then released a DVD entitled Goodbye Yoon Ji-hoo, marking the end of his character role in Boys Over Flowers, and coming back as the leader of SS501. [6]
