In 2018, Barney heads to MacLaren's meanwhile Marshall and Lily, now parents, plan an early night. Marshall announces he's replacing a retiring judge, sparking a celebration. Lily scolds Barney for reverting to his old self, but Barney insists he'll only ever work with Robin. Lily relents, letting Barney enjoy his night.
