The Peninsula Hong Kong hotel, where Gaddi's is located. Gaddi's is a French haute cuisine restaurant situated in The Peninsula Hong Kong hotel. It was opened in 1953 and named after a former general manager of The Peninsula, Leo Gaddi. The current chef de cuisine is Albin Gobil.
It is the flagship property of The Peninsula Hotels group, part of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Hotels Group. The hotel opened in 1928 and was the first under The Peninsula brand. Expanded in 1994, the hotel combines colonial and modern elements, and is notable for its large fleet of Rolls-Royces painted a distinctive "Peninsula green". [1]
The Peninsula Manila was opened on September 14, 1976, ahead of that year's International Monetary Fund conference. [2] [3] [4] It was built on the corners of Ayala and Makati Avenues, after which they are named. In 1994, the hotel was renovated, with a new fountain and some of the hotel walls were painted with new colors.
