Plants documented in the park include Hercules club, sassafras, winged elm, sweet gum, eastern red cedar, American elm, white oak, Shumard red oak, coral honeysuckle, devil's walking stick, hackberry, eastern redbud, wild grape, red buckeye, American beautyberry, loblolly pine, red maple, common persimmon, and poison ivy.
The venomous western diamondback rattlesnake, and coral snake exist in the park. Monarch butterfly migrate through the park in October and wild turkey come to roost from October through March. There are four bird blinds in the park. Birdwatchers have recorded more than 250 species over the years.

Thomas J. and Elizabeth Nash Farm is located on 626 Ball Street in Grapevine, Texas. The 5.2-acre farm is now owned by the city and operated by the Grapevine Heritage as a heritage farm museum known as Nash Farm. The farm was added to the National Register in October 28, 2010.
