Segovia's second wife (marriage in 1935) was the pianist Paquita Madriguera, who also made some piano roll recordings. [ 57 ] [ 58 ] From 1944, he maintained a romantic relationship with Brazilian singer and guitarist Olga Praguer Coelho , which was to last for over a decade.
They had three daughters, Paquita (born 1923), Sofia (born 1925), and Maria Rosa (born 1927). She was widowed in 1931. She married Spanish guitarist Andres Segovia in 1935, and they had a daughter Beatriz (1938-1967). They divorced in 1948.
In the 1990s, Segovia's widow gave Fisk unpublished compositions by Segovia. Fisk turned these compositions into Segovia: Canciones Populares, which became a bestseller on the Classical Album chart of Billboard magazine. [4] His transcription of violinist Niccolò Paganini's 24 Caprices also entered the chart and was widely praised.
