Boruto defaces the Hokage Mount in order to get Naruto's attention. In his attempt to get chased, he runs into Sarada, who covers for him. Sarada is mentored by her father, Sasuke, in the use of her Sharingan. Meanwhile, Konohamaru and Mugino have been authorized to visit Victor's company in order to investigate his motives.
Boruto and Ohnoki head to the rendezvous point, but they stumble into the Hidden Stone Shinobi Training Grounds, which are protected by a barrier. Ohnoki tells Boruto that the only way out of the Training Grounds is to find his heart of stone, something that can only be found once in a lifetime when a person comes to terms with their will.

Boruto tries to reason with Ikada, bringing up his dreams, but Ikada rages at Boruto because of Seiren's death, unleashing his powers to control the sea. Team Denki, Buntan and Kyoho head out to rejoin Team Sarada and fight.
Boruto is met by Yatsume and Rokuro, who have also awakened from the genjutsu. The three begin exploring Ouga's complex. Boruto gets separated from the others due to several different tricks built into the hallways, after which Rokuro turns on Yatsume and escapes with the map she took off Ouga's first spy.
