Searcy County (/ ˈ s ɜːr s i / SUR-see) is a county located in the U.S. state of Arkansas.As of the 2020 census, the population was 7,828. [1] The county seat is Marshall. [2] The county was formed December 13, 1838, from a portion of Marion County and named for Richard Searcy, the first clerk and judge in the Arkansas Territory.
According to the United States Census Bureau, St. Joe Township covers an area of 30.077 square miles (77.90 km 2); 29.838 square miles (77.28 km 2) of land and 0.239 square miles (0.62 km 2) of water.
According to the United States Census Bureau, Mount Pleasant Township covers an area of 108.998 square miles (282.30 km 2); 108.75 square miles (281.7 km 2) of land and 0.248 square miles (0.64 km 2) of water.

St. Joe is one of thirteen communities participating in Ozark Byways which promotes small towns in the north central Arkansas region.
