A.V. Undercover is an American live music web series created by The A.V. Club, distributed on their website. The series premiered on March 16, 2010, [1] going into an extended hiatus after the 8th season in 2017. It was revived for a 9th season in June 2024. [2] The concept of the show is that each season, a list of 25 songs is compiled.

Undercover was subsequently remastered and reissued by Virgin Records in 1994, and again in 2009 by Universal Music. It was released on SHM-SACD in 2012 by Universal Music Japan. Original cassettes and later CD reissues (post-EMI) of this album contain a different edit of "Wanna Hold You" from what appeared on the original vinyl release.
