Quiet Riot is an American heavy metal band founded in Los Angeles in 1973 [1] by guitarist Randy Rhoads and bassist Kelly Garni.. The original lineup featured Rhoads and Garni with lead vocalist Kevin DuBrow and drummer Drew Forsyth, though that version of the band was mired in turmoil that would eventually see Garni fired for making death threats towards DuBrow. "Laughing Gas" was a song performed by Quiet Riot at all the live performances while Randy Rhoads played with the band. It was never recorded onto an album until a live bootleg performance was enhanced (with rerecorded vocals) and placed on The Randy Rhoads Years.

None of the songs on The Randy Rhoads Years are the same versions that appear on the original two Quiet Riot albums. Longtime Quiet Riot vocalist Kevin DuBrow remixed all the tracks at the request of the Rhoads family, with the exception of the previously unreleased "Force of Habit", as that track's master tape couldn't be located.
In 2004, after Quiet Riot's 2003 breakup, DuBrow recorded a collection of cover versions for his first solo album, In for the Kill. The album was recorded in DuBrow's home in Las Vegas , Nevada . DuBrow also worked as a morning DJ for the Rock Station in Las Vegas, KOMP 92.3 on the morning show alongside longstanding host Craig Williams.
Quiet Riot 10 (also alternatively known as just 10, or Quiet Riot Number 10) is the twelfth studio album by the Rock band Quiet Riot, which was released on June 27, 2014. [1] It is their first studio album since 1988's QR not to feature longtime and founding vocalist Kevin DuBrow in any newly recorded material, due to his death in November 2007.
