John Baird (February 11, 1860 – November 8, 1934) was an American politician from Michigan. He was a Republican politician and served in the Michigan House of Representatives in 1895 and in the Michigan Senate from 1901 to 1905. He later was head of the Michigan Conservation Department (now Department of Natural Resources) from 1921 to 1927.

Freeman was inducted into the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame in 1991, [1] and in 2009, was inducted into the United States Eventing Association Hall of Fame along with Good Mixture, his horse at the 1972 Olympics. Born on May 5, 1902, in Flushing, Michigan, Freeman received a Bachelor of Laws in 1926 from University of Michigan Law School. He entered private practice in Flint, Michigan from 1926 to 1927 and again from 1933 to 1954. He was an assistant prosecutor in Genesee County, Michigan from 1928 to 1930 and prosecutor from 1931 to 1932. [1]
