The G-26 was a low wing monoplane designed for performance and powered by a 108 kW (145 hp), air-cooled four cylinder inverted inline MG-40 engine. In appearance it was rather like the Gribovsky G-22, though it was smaller with a 1.0 m (3 ft 3 in) shorter span and 10% less wing area.

The G26 is a diesel–electric locomotive built in the US by General Motors Electro-Motive Diesel for export and in Australia by Clyde Engineering under licence. The G26 was developed to increase traction capacities on the tracks which supported lesser axle loadings.
With the Mark 26, two missiles could be on the rails and it could sustain a 9-second firing rate with a one-second salvo delay. [2] The Mark 26 provided ASROC capability in the late 1970s. The Mark 26 system was capable of launching nuclear ASROC and included appropriate safety measures. It used a system nuclear lock and a hanger rail nuclear lock.

The Short S.26 G-class was a large transport flying boat designed and produced by the British aircraft manufacturer Short Brothers.It was designed to achieve a non-stop transatlantic capability, increasing the viability of long distant services/duties.
The G-28 first flew on 22 May 1941. It was flight tested by the VVS and found satisfactory, though Gribovsky hoped to install the more powerful MV-6A engine variant in production aircraft. After the German invasion of the USSR in June 1941, Gribovsky's priority became production of the Gribovsky G-11 assault glider and the G-28 was abandoned. [1]
