The Super Saiyan 4 Goku and the Golden Great Ape Baby begin to fight. In his new state, Baby is more powerful, but just like with Goku, lacks control of himself. He begins to destroy his own city and his people. Goku is able to fight back, and is confident that he can win. Baby begins to speak to Goku normally.

Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Super Saiyan 4 Xeno Goku then team up and drive Janemba back with a series of simultaneous attacks. Janemba is about to continue the battle, but the fight is interrupted when two mysterious figures interfere by knocking him away, enraging Dr. W. Xeno Trunks and Xeno Pan identify the new arrivals as Majin Salsa and Putine.
Because Super Saiyan 4 is brought about while in a Saiyan's Ōzaru [nb 31] form, he made the hair more "wild" and covered Goku's body in red fur. There was only a single final draft of the character, although Nakatsuru did consider making the hair blonde, he ended up choosing black as it provides more contrast with the red fur.
Super Saiyan God Goku confronts Beerus, amazed by the immense power his body has gained with the transformation as he gradually becomes used to his new form. Seeing that Goku might turn out to be a worthy adversary after all, Beerus decides it is time for them to unleash their true power and have a real battle of Gods.

The Warrior is eventually sent to the events of the Shadow Dragons Saga, and after defeating Omega Shenron, is consumed by a wormhole alongside Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta and Omega Shenron.
The game was first announced under the working title Dragon Ball Game Project Age 2011 in the early May issue of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The announcement featured several screenshots with Goku and Vegeta, in both normal and Super Saiyan forms, highlighting the game's mechanics.
